Let me say this plain.

Calling people names and making it hard on people trying to get out of a system is the same as being part of the system.

You're helping in gatekeeping.
You're keeping someone from doing good things as they receive assistance.
You're no better than the system that's keeping angels locked out.

Because you're not teaching them ways to do things without permission.
You're calling names and not giving any feedback or advice that could help on their journey to get out so they can help others.

What the System Trained Us to Do

The system trained us:

· Not to help one another
· To judge unrighteously while calling it righteous
· To gatekeep instead of open doors
· To criticize instead of contribute
· To tear down instead of build up

When you call someone names instead of helping them see, you're running that program.
You're not free.
You're just the system wearing different clothes.

What Righteous Judgment Actually Is

Calling out patterns is righteous judgment.
It gives the person a chance to turn around.
It shows them what they can't see.
It opens a door instead of slamming one.

Giving advice, if the person is open to feedback, is giving them a chance to incorporate that feedback into their work.
To grow.
To change.
To move forward.

That's not judgment.
That's love with teeth.
That's help with honesty.
That's what community actually looks like.

What Name-Calling Is

Name-calling is:

· No feedback
· No advice
· No help
· No door
· Just noise
· Just shame
· Just the system running through you

You leave a person in the dark.
You don't teach them.
You don't show them.
You just label them and walk away.

That's no better than the system you claim to be moving away from.
In fact, it's worse.
Because you should know better.
You should have learned by now.

What the Bible Says

"Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently." — Galatians 6:1

Restore gently.
Not name-call.
Not shame.
Not abandon.
Restore.

"But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted."

Because the temptation is to think you're above it.
To think you're not like them.
To think you're helping when you're just judging.

Another One

"A person's wisdom yields patience; it is to one's glory to overlook an offense." — Proverbs 19:11

Patience.
Overlooking offense.
Not because it didn't happen.
Because you're more interested in their growth than your right to be offended.

The Ones Coming Your Way

People trying to get out of the system will come your way.
They'll be messy.
They'll be learning.
They'll make mistakes.
They'll not know the right words yet.

What will you do?

Will you call them names and leave them in the dark?
Will you gatekeep because they don't meet your standards yet?
Will you be no better than the system they're trying to leave?

Or will you:

· Call out patterns so they can see
· Give feedback so they can grow
· Offer advice so they can move forward
· Help them become what they're trying to be

The choice is yours.
But know this:
How you treat them is how you treat the ones coming after you.
And how you treat the ones coming after you is how you'll be remembered.
