I was just reading a thread someone posted on X, and I instinctively tried to downzap a reply.

How's X in terms of clankers now? Is it worse than SN?

It's 90% of replies on most threads I enter on X. The CPO calls it an "existential crisis" and has a 90-day countdown for his team to come up with a solution.

In before mandatory video, DNA, and blood samples for validation on each login[1].

  1. Obviously not shared with 3rd parties for commercial purposes[2]

  2. Unless those third parties want to share it for commercial and/or identity tracking purposes, or any other purposes they can come up with.

Wait.. is X's CPO... 3CP0? 😂

SN doing way better then. Tho that clanker yesterday that posted 30 comments in 12 seconds was insane.

X: AI bot noise has definitely increased since Elon’s era ended the moderation-heavy period. Spammy bot accounts, automated retweets, and AI-generated low-effort posts are common. Depending on your feed, the “clank factor” can feel pretty high, especially in trending topics or niche threads where bot amplification is aggressive.

Stacker News: Far quieter in comparison. The community is smaller and more curated. AI-generated noise exists but tends to get moderated faster or is less impactful. Overall, it’s a “cleaner” environment—fewer clankers interrupting the conversation.
