As a social construct, we should better understand social power dynamics. These dynamics in the past have been used to stigmatize bitcoin. The bitcoiner culture of doing nothing socially about scams and rather leaving it "to the free market to decide" rather than understanding that economics is human action and the free market is us, has allowed Bitcoin to be grouped with the rest of crypto via the "blockchain not bitcoin" narrative. I see this coming to an end with the "bitcoin not crypto" narrative, but a better understanding of social dynamics would allow better effectiveness for Bitcoin to win as a social construct: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4226627/
