There has really been a pretty cool transformation on The Hill over the last 5 years. It went from fringe things to more and more people having at least some knowledge of them and that is growing all the time.
Layer 2s are not really talked about but I think that has more to do with getting everyone up to speed and on board with just the general idea and functions of the various blockchains. A lot of people will kind of think Bitcoin is just like Eth and that is just like a memecoin so there is a lot of separating the two and then the various smart contract applications if that makes sense.
