Watched this yesterday with the family, and damn, was it good! The concept: In the '70s, a talk show host whose show was fading in the ratings held a special Halloween episode where one of the guests was a parapsychologist and the possessed patient she was working with. The tape of the show, along with some backstage tapes that were filmed, has now been recovered.
Honestly, the less you know beyond that, the better it is. The cast is fantastic, the show absolutely feels like it's set in the '70s, and there are some great twists. There's one moment where the conceit itself doesn't hold up near the end, but the movie's too damned good for me to care much about that.
The trailer does a good job of not giving away too much, thankfully.
Sounds cool! I wonder if I can tempt the wife into watching it.
Not sure what her level of horror interest is, but for the most part, I found it more scary than gory (though my wife and daughter are both as tolerant of gore as I am, so we sometimes don't know how extreme some stuff is).
really good movie. Definitely worth watching it.
Is not a super horror movie, I mean you will not see super violence, guts and blood all over. Is more like a psycho thriller.
Why does everything entertainment related seem to be about the devil/satan/evil, etc. nowadays?
Ancient alien parasites maybe?
