Furthermore, only citizens of Costa Rica and Permanent Residents with a valid permanent residency card are allowed to own, register or carry weapons. If you have a Temporary Residency category you will NOT be able to do so.

I do think it is pretty easy for U.S. and Canadian citizens to get permanent residency.
