This is a new cashu wallet that integrates NFC tap to pay. Looks like they are going after the merchant at a market kind of use case. Seems like it could be good for turning your phone into a point if sale device. They say they are working on a a BTCPay Server integration.

It looks smooth and the NFC part is cool. But in order to use it, I believe the customer would also have to be using an NFC enabled cashu or lightning wallet.

Looks promising.

Scanning QR codes looks very cumbersome when demonstrating Lightning payments to normies.

The future of daily Bitcoin payments must be something akin to tap-and-pay (maybe even offline with e-cash).

Is it really? Scanning a QR code is no more cumbersome than tapping your phone. It is even easier since you can do it at a greater distance.

I mostly agree. but if you don't a newer phone (and therefore a newer camera) some of the more complicated lightning QRs don't always scan or take some time and adjustment to scan. I imagine NFC is a little more consistent.
