I liked the idea of transparent rewards; it makes it clearer why you earned them, but that would require changing how rewards are distributed, which leads to the same problem of incentivizing those who only interact for the sake of it. Without rewards, does SN just become a regular Nostr? That doesn't seem to be the case, since here you pay to post and comment whether you expect a return or not. Why pay would be the valid question.
