This card has a pretty interesting story

Morton Bernstein, the son of the founder of The National Silver Company, collected and preserved trading cards in the early 1900s. After Bernstein purchased F.B. Rogers Silver Company in 1955 and expanded west, he framed his cards and decorated his businesses with them; when the National Silver Company folded, the cards were moved to a warehouse and eventually bequeathed to Dennis and Douglas.

Its not the only T206 Honus Wagner currently up for auction either! There is one with a lower grade (a sub 1) that is currently at $2.318 million with six days left at Heritage Auction.

This one sold for the third highest price and as you would likely guess has the third highest grade as the ones that sold for more were graded at a 3 and a 2.

I saw this on the King of Collectibles. They got a great price for it.

Yeah I was impressed! The card looks really good!

I really like that show. I am always baffled at how much people are willing to pay for sports memorabilia and the collections some of these people have.

I watched an episode of it but then I stopped because I was worried it was going to be like Pawn Stars and just be absurd.... Does it follow/make sense?

reply

Yes it is pretty good but I like Pawn Stars as well so might not be your cup of tea.
