Read the guide and pay attention. It's all explained there.
The idea is to spread your stash in multiple ways... having all your BTC in one single cold wallet is really dumb.

Cold wallets should stay cold. Never touch them, only using a xpub to make more "deposits".
Use the 3 levels procedure, think like a bank.
