they're already here, they're just gonna using eth/xrp or do what every megapoop project has done and just copy/paste their code. By assigning stablecoins in general you're just daring governments of said currency to seize control of it. "you're printing dollars that we don't own? thats interesting, they're ours now"

The best thing that can happen is if a commodity is deemed legal tender and then the market can develop a financial system around that
reply
The future is not in the compliant econony; the future is in ignoring the state and its BS, and we have the technology it takes.
Who cares what's deemed legal tender. Just provide value and people will pay for it. Whether those state muppets are happy about it or not is irrelevant.

I watched these two videos earlier today that were very interesting re: CBDCs that actually had a lot of info worth digesting:

Bank of International Settlements and CBDC regulations

Timeframe: by 2025

The guy covers how the BIS (Bank of International Settlements, the international central bank of WEF and IMF-style institutions) has already released its guidance for CBDCs and how all crypto will be regulated and tiered. It must be backed by something is the gist, and a large focus on existing ISO standards coins like XRP, QNT, IOTA, XLM .

"cyber pandemic" (aka globalist/criminal destruction of economic system)

Timeframe: Presumably some time before 2025

With Ukraine / Russia conflict ongoing, people think there is some staunch ideological divide between those running the West and Russia, but it appears there is no real divide at the top levels (just between us plebs), and they are going to nuke the internet / financial systems to create a crisis and usher in regulations and control.

Coming like the year of the Linux desktop. Or cheap fusion energy. Ir's coming! Very soon! Almost there! Next time maybe! Just a little bit! Every moment now!

I think they are many years away? I don't even think they are possible? A single system for hundreds of millions of people to transact in? Many many transactions happens per day, a cbdc simply will not be able to handle it but let's see

Maybe so but evidence on the ground suggests that a CBDC arms race is already underway and the US is very much part of it
reply
U.S. is unlikely to use CBDCs much beyond their pilots. Rest of the world might try before getting dollarized to bitcoin.
