Yes, that year wasn't a hard choice! I was already a fan of both Bogart and Bergman from other movies, so having them in the same movie was great. After talking about it enough I convinced my wife, who isn't super open to "old" movies, to watch it with me, and she really enjoyed it too.

Buckaroo Banzai is definitely a favorite! I've got the "No matter where you go, there you are." quote on my office wall right now. It's a very silly movie, but it works for me!

Some great choices. The first thing I look at on any list like this is 1943; it's the only year where, as far as I'm concerned, there's only one "right" choice.
