The former players include Nate Newton, Billy Cannon, Hall of Famer Joe Klecko, Jamal Lewis, and Travis Henry.
- Nate Newton was sentenced in 2002 to 30 months in prison on a federal drug trafficking charge. He has since gone on to talk to kids and athletes about his past.
- Billy Cannon passed away in 2018 but served two-and-a-half years in prison after he admitted to participating in a counterfeiting scheme in 1983.
- Joe Klecko was sentenced to three months in prison in 1993 for committing perjury in an insurance fraud case. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2023.
- Jamal Lewis was charged in 2004 for attempting to set up a drug deal.
- Travis Henry pled guilty in 2009 for conspiracy to traffic cocaine and was sentenced to three years in prison for financially backing a drug ring.
From what I can find and have read all of these people turned their lives around which to me is one of the most important things about pardons for numerous crimes.
There are some current NFL players that would probably like a pardon too.
