The solar industry has a new threat: plug-in solar panels at the discount level. The biggest hindrance to people now, made worse by the loss of energy tax credits, is the cost of installation of traditional solar systems. Now, plug-in portable panels are appearing, recently made legal in Utah. The industry is already pushing back sounding the alarm about safety and little gain possible versus traditional installation.
