Kind of crazy to see how fast this chart has gone from nearly nothing to 11 million sats/day yesterday.
However, I think it’s possible to zap yourself without incurring any real cost on Nostr (someone correct me if I’m wrong), so it’s not a perfect comparison to something like SN where self-tipping isn’t economical.

It's even worse than that: you can't prove that a lightning payment ever actually happened, in the sense that actual Bitcoin moved. You can only prove that the recipient of the payment has been satisfied with a hash preimage. So if people wanted to, they could create entirely fake nostr zap events in whatever quantity they wanted.
