@tuma did a lengthy write up on this tool for automating the management of your cln lightning node (#1431749). It seems promising.

CLBOSS is an automated liquidity manager for Core-lightning routing nodes. The program uses a set of heuristics that continuously monitor the node’s channel balances and the state of its peers to adapt to changes in available liquidity as payment are routed through its channels.

So far, it can take on a fair bit of node management work:

While CLBOSS does not allow for complete automatic management (yet), it can already perform some impressive operations on a CLN node.
  • buy inbound liquidity through boltz.exchange
  • open channels by leveraging circular self-payments
  • adjust forwarding fees to support channel balance and to be competitive on the market.

I don't run cln, but these kind of tools are cool. I could see something like this being pretty widespread in a year or two.
