I was talking to my Son about the sun heating our planet, and i said "if the sun heats our planet, why is the space between them cold?"I was talking to my Son about the sun heating our planet, and i said "if the sun heats our planet, why is the space between them cold?"

He's been into space since he was a toddler (not literally) and he explained how the sun emits radiation and not heat, so the radiation travels through the vacuum of space until it hits atoms, ie, planets, where it warms up [TIL]

So it got me thinking about the conceptualization of Bitcoin

We know as Bitcoiners that Bitcoin is backed by energy but the first thing you hear from normies is "it's not backed by anything" (leave the fiat ponzi argument for another day)

Let's look at conceptualizing the energy in Bitcoin with the energy from the sunLet's look at conceptualizing the energy in Bitcoin with the energy from the sun

The sun vs miningThe sun vs mining

The sun generates massive amounts of energy through nuclear fusion

Massive amounts of electricity are used by miners to mine Bitcoin

Space vs BitcoinSpace vs Bitcoin

The sun's energy travels through space as radiation, it's nothing, it doesnt register as anything, its just a future promise of energy

Bitcoin is just numbers on a screen, it doesn't look like energy anymore, it looks cold and static, just like space

The earth vs the economyThe earth vs the economy

When that invisible radiation hits matter, it transforms into heat and sustains life

When that "numbers on a screen" is used to exchange goods and services, it releases the stored value of the energy that went into creating it

Why normies struggleWhy normies struggle

Normies struggle to believe the sun heats earth because they think, how can heat travel through the cold*

Normies struggle to believe Bitcoin is energy because they think, how can burning electricity result in magic internet money

We've all seen the videos online of some guy who creates a perpetual water turning machine and you go to the comments and what do you see?

First law of thermodynamics "Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed"

We know electricity used to mine Bitcoin isn't wasted, it's transformed into a wall of energy

Just like the sun’s energy travels across space until it hits earth

The energy used to mine Bitcoin is stored in the timechain until we decide to spend it

*most normies have no idea how the sun's heat works, just like they don't understand Bitcoin, so this leaves a tiny amount of normies left who aren't glued to tiktok or whatever 🤣

But you take my point 👉

Intriguing thoughts! I wonder what your son’s thoughts on Bitcoin are. Have you been exposing him?

He's doing CS at college and hasn't shown any real interest in it 😳

Ive set him up a dca, so he's stacking but only because I organised it

I keep telling him he's sleeping on Bitcoin , But hey sometimes you have to find it yourself

Ive explained the dev kits on Bitcoin and Nostr are there for anyone to use

Let's see 👀
