If you have a gun to show I can verify you are set up to send sats and will feel much more inclined to zap you as a consequence.

Showing a gun doesn't automatically mean they send sats. It just means they have a sending wallet attached.
That wallet may never get used.
They may receive enough CCs for zaps that sats are never pulled from the sending wallet.
That is true but showing a gun means you can send sats and are committed to the P2P V4V sats denominated ethos that Stacker News has been deliberately built on at some great effort.
Do we want to build and be part of a sats denominated V4V P2P network and community? I do.
Not showing a gun shows they don't give a damn about using LN and supporting the P2P V4V ethos.

Hiding your use of the LN by not attaching wallet/s is cowardly and a strong LN and sats denominated circular economy will not be built by such cowards.
Anyone serious about the P2P V4V sats denominated ethos will have a gun and a horse.
That way more of their transactions will be send via the LN supporting the network and wallets with fees paid.
I do not want to zap anyone who has not bothered to set up their wallets so that they could reciprocate my sats denominated zap with one of their own.

If so why don't you attach both sending and receiving wallets?
