Indeed. As I often say, until we as a species evolve we are stuck with it. I don't doubt we will but it's not happening in my lifetime or anyone's that is alive today.

This modern nation state monstrosity has not always been with us. I'm optimistic that we can shift the incentives such that something better displaces it.
