The actual right is to defend one's self and property. 2A doesn't give any right. It is simply a poor attempt to protect it.
I don't even talk about guns with people that don't agree. If they want to talk I talk about the right to defend. I ask them why they are opposed to the weak being able to defend themselves from the strong.
This makes them think some times. If they are capable. It's funny how most people that oppose the real right to defend one's self will also claim the state police are evil. They will suspend that thought when talking about gun ownership.
At a certain point one realizes most people don't think deeply or question their priors.
