if you look into human history, are so many stupid crazy things done, that you wonder: daaamn we are the only one species that is doing anything possible to suicide.
I cannot call this species... intelligent.

How can we be sure about that?

You cannot be sure, and you also can't know whether that is the DDT you got from mom's boob messing with your brain, or because covid made you forget, or cognitive decline through your TV, internet or chatbot usage. lol

I remember buying a 1 hrivna (at the time something like $0.16) 1L bottle of blackberry vodka in Simferopol. It tasted like someone drank gasoline and then pissed it back into the bottle, worse than the average Samogon you'd drink on the streets of Yalta.

However. That too was perfectly fine booze. Best saved for desperate times though.

It’s hard to know if any animal does this consciously. For example, there are known cases of dogs that stop eating after their owner dies. How can we be sure they’re actually looking for death? I’ve seen dogs and cats get run over where it really seemed like they stepped in front of the car on purpose. Were they trying to kill themselves? We’ll never know.

@k00b made a point about Herd/flock mentality yesterday and this is a pattern that is very hard to unsee after you've detected it a couple of times (may even see it when it isn't there.)

I think that this is in the fabric of our society though, and I think that it's a vulnerability.

Stupid and crazy . . . like claiming to be a Bitcoin Maxi 'living on The Bitcoin Standard' but refusing to attach your wallets here on Stacker News because CC shitcoins are so reliable.

If we want the LN to grow in strength and reliability we must use it.

Every time I zap, post or comment I do it with Sats using a wallet and paying fees supporting the nodes and wallet development.

You don't.

You are a fucking hypocrit and cannot seem to see it.

Attach your LN wallets and stop being such a stupid lazy/crazy hypocrit.

reply

I will attach an external wallet AFTER you will zap all my notes on SN during 3 months with 100 sats each.
DEAL ?

@DarthCoins response to my pointing out he claims to be 'living on the Bitcoin Standard' but in reality refuses to use Bitcoin Here on Stacker News.

1- Abuse- called me CCP bot and many many other names.
Hilarious and pathetic.
2- Claims that to attach wallets is a waste of time and CCs are better than sats as they work all the time.
Yeah you can say the same of fiat- again pure bullshit sophistry from @Darthcoin.
3- Claims that attaching wallets would stress his nodes.
For fucks sake! If I can attach wallets then tech master @Darthcoin can, surely? If he cannot why not?
4- Tells me to STFU and stop raising the topic.
Out comes the fascist bully again.
5- As above tries to extort payment from me like some mafia cunt.
Yes sure, its all just joking huh Darth?

But really for some guy who claims to 'live on The Bitcoin Standard' and clearly has a massive knowledge of how the BTC/LN works and constantly claims to hate the state and fuck the bankers etc etc ...what the fuck is really going on here?

@Darthcoin is maybe a pathetic though highly knowledgable technocrat- but whatever he is he is not a serious Bitcoiner in the sense of actually wanting to live on and use Bitcoin and the LN.
He is absolutely refusing to use sats here- where this platform has been specifically and intentionally built to enable a sats based V4V P2P social network.
CCs were only implemented because of regulatory threats from the state!

The other possibility is that he is a spook for the state/bankers that he loudly decries.
State security agencies will routinely seek to observe and infiltrate any group professing anti state viewpoints- it is their job to do this...and they will use agents who will act out and pretend to be of such views themselves.
I have witnessed this occur before.
They are (were) the loudest boldest proclaimers of anti state views, but were in reality, covertly observing and reporting on the genuine group members to their state surveillance bosses. In one case the spook entered into a relationship with a woman who was part of the group that was being targeted...all the while he was reporting the the state intelligence and paid by them to do so.
These spooks play a long (and low) game and it is possible @DarthCoin is one of them.

Otherwise he is either just a lazy hypocrit while being of high technical ability.
He sure as fuck is not a genuine and serious Bitcoiner who wants LN to be used and grow stronger...because he refuses to use it and cannot demonstrate any use of it except perhaps in his constant exploration of the technical functionality of the network which is again something state surveillance would want to have a strong and intimate skope on.

Nobody here except his sock puppets really know who @Darthcoin is.
Everything we 'know' about him is what he has fabricated.
We do know that he says one thing loudly, but in reality does another.

I really have a hard time believing in any kind of grand scheme or conspiracy. Usually, I think our human stupidity does most of the work for us. DDT, Chemtrails, fluoride...if these things were done intentionally for some global or widespread effect, humans are far more capable of operating than is otherwise evidenced. Why aren't we on Mars yet?

Also: people blab. How would these things not become widely known? Projects of this size and scale necessarily involve a lot of people. How would it be that none of it gets out?

I'm of the general opinion that most things aren't conspiracy as wide as many would say. They are much smaller. Some aren't conspiracy at all but rather systems.

Your point about why wouldn't they get exposed is a good one. I'm not a chemtrails guy but governments have sprayed things over cities. I don't think all of the contrails in the sky are chemtrails though.

The real thing to think about is how many conspiracies are exposed and yet people still largely change nothing as a result.

Look at Snowden. What changed in the public perception? Were any politicians held accountable? Panama papers? Covid? Look at all that CIA has admitted doing. Many people are not even aware. There are plenty of conspiracies that are not theories.

It is my belief that most people don't want to know. They don't want to accept just how broken and currrupt it all is. It's too much for them. They can only muster enough to believe the Democrats or Republicans are the problem. Or Trump or Musk.

They just can accept that it's system wide. That it's not new.

Then there are those who just always are looking for a new conspiracy when they already beleive enough of them to see how the system is corrupted. How are they responding? Treat it all as if they are watching a TV series.

I think that most of the conspiracy people actually do more harm by discrediting themselves by over amplifying and making them too big. To much theory not enough evidence.

The reality as I see it is that have always been evil forces at work. They aren't all working together in some singular group. It's individuals and groups working against each other often. Sone things are as they appear. Some are not. I don't pretend to know. But what has bee. Admitted is enough for me at least to not trust the state and many institutions.

That's not to say they are always lying. Or that all in the systems are bad. Or even aware. But it's rotten.

Yes, this is a good point. Snowden is a great example. How could it be that so many people still see him as a villain?

I was thinking something along these lines with the Epstein files: who were the people who did the redacting and how is it that they are cool with it? There are all these names that are redacted. Somebody had to do that. Probably more than a small group. So why aren't any of them so disgusted that they just leak it all?

That's an interesting thought. Could be a few things.

  1. Its all a hoax like Trump said? ;)
  2. You are talking about the literal deep state. Most people don't realize this I think. The deep state is career people in government that aren't replaced with each admin. They have their own agendas. Maybe they are not surprised by this. Or as some say, maybe they know stuff we don't.
  3. They know enough to know what's good for them and keep their mouths shut.

It is an interesting question.

The reason I comment about this whole thing with conspiracies is because it was once red pilling for me. Then entertainment, a distraction. Now I see how even the continuous revelation of new theories itself could be intentionally used to control. But if it isn't intentioned, it's still a thing that affected me. Distracting me from actual important things. It was pointless after I was red pilled. Now when I talk about it I am not fooling myself. I know it's just curiosity.

That's a great interview and I agree. For most people for whatever reason their minds will not allow them to believe and see the world as some of us see it. I think it is mostly a sub conscience protection mechanism. Unless your nature is to NOT be afraid of drastic change. If you are burdened with the logical first mind the fear of being in the out group supersedes the desire to know truth.

If a mass of people change their belief system these people will follow. But they will not be the trailblazers. This is one way to explain why after thousands of years of believing gender is immutable seemingly suddenly people are open to an alternate view. They feel more safe with the new view.

This is how many mass movements happen. With mass communication and the ideas taught by Ed Bernays the masses can be moved. And on these social changes... don't kid yourself. There are media and entertainment people at the root of pushing change. They don't even hide it.

Another thing people miss. Most of the conspiracies are by people believing their cause is righteous. Even Hitler was the hero in his story. Few people accept that they are evil and their actions are evil. I think its usually the opposite. Or if their actions are evil, they are for a greater good above the evil.

This is the other possibility with Epstein stuff. They are disgusted but its so big they know the public isn't ready for it. Think about why a government would hide aliens for example. Greater good. Why Fauci justified his lies about masks. Great good. The noble lie. All that nonsense.
