I just think it might increase the quality slightly. and reduce the spam. though, to what extent I don't know. but I'm curious to see what nostr becomes. this zapping thing is new to me but it's so convenient and easy on SN. and it just makes sense to me. (I guess what I'm saying is that if I have to pay to post, then others do too, and it can increase quality of the content, if that makes sense).

I don't know of any other sites like this. I think if you expand your question to include sites where users pay a membership fee to participate, there are quite a few. But it's not really the same as pay to post.
