Almost all judges are involved with Spark, so don't tell me this wasn't a disguised Spark operation.

All other pitches have nothing to do with Spark. :) 

Plus, Spark is net positive for the ecosystem. The more competition for those broken L2s the better for everyone.

This is like a city manager organizing a "public" auction to build a road, where the only winner will be the company run by the brother of the mayor... they just put / let some others to put their offer that will never get selected because the winner is already chosen.
