World central banks cut rates 141 times on the net in 2025, the most since the 2020 Crisis (rate cuts minus rate hikes).

Over the last 2 years, central banks reduced rates by 273 times on the net, the biggest 2-year reading on record.

In 2026, only 67 rate cuts are expected on the net, while some central banks are set for rate hikes, including Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

The global monetary easing is coming to an end.
