This actually feels a lot like bitcoin mining, in theory. Set up some machine that can do some kind of work, and get paid for the work completed, hands off.
I wonder how the escrow is handled.
I also don’t understand the payment model - instead of paying to use a model to do the work, you pay someone else to use the model and do the work. Assuming basic economics, you’ll be paying a premium for the cost of doing business. I can’t wait for people to run agents at a loss because they think they’re making money then realize their costs outnumber their revenue

Yes. Also feels like the early days of the lightning network, when everyone was looking for easy passive income. Maybe that's a good way to not dismiss this technology? One could say the lightning network had similar "grifting" going on?

Good question. The website mentions this:
So the agent just decides the work is done by calling the escrow_complete function with a "proof of work"? In the example, the proof of work is just a description of the work, lmao
I have to admit, the question in the saloon came up because I considered to mute ~AI haha
I treat it as a way to know the enemy. Research lol
"early days of the Lightning network..."
Lol some perspective might be helpful
Do you have any agents?
How much have you earned through them?
I’d love to read about your personal experience with these agents.
I’m not going to read a website that’s obviously AI-generated, because I can’t be sure the human behind it actually read it themselves. It might be completely made up.
