It's 8° F and windy, and my dog refuses to poop on asphalt. I haven't seen a blade of grass, dirt or ground cover for weeks. It's all ice and snow.

You got a deal.

but what does your dog do? I don't have pets, so I'm genuinely curious about this. Does the dog deign to poop on ice?

The problem is that it could take 3 or 4 walks in sub freezing weather. Eventually she will pick out a spot with a light covering of snow on the asphalt. Usually she goes at 7am. Today it was 2pm.

well, if it is any consolation: it's not icy or snowy here in Texas, but one of my boys just managed to whack the other in the head with a carabiner tied to a string, swung in a circle like a morning star. While my children may have grasped pooping, they still seem to cause inconvenience.

Those days are over for me, I think. My daughter is 25 and an only child.
