I'm a big fan of @oshigood's HODL Butter and other goodies. The problem is that others are too and he's always out of stock.

So, in a pinch you can make a cheap, but still delicious, knockoff entirely from Costco products. Here's what you'll need:

  • Kirkland organic almond butter
  • Kirkland organic maple syrup (or one of the fancy cinnamon or vanilla infused options if they have it)
  • Kirkland organic honey
  • Kirkland pink sea salt

I like to put those last three in my coffee (Kirkland organic), too.

If you want to tilt more towards taste/cost and away from nutrition, mix in some Kirkland organic peanut butter. Either way, you end up with a much tastier and healthier butter than normal peanut butter.

I'm getting visions of Wall-E people floating around in mover carts because they are too fat on butter to walk...

You should be so lucky to get fat on HODL Butter

If you call it wholesale instead of discount, it’ll sound better

What about "knockoff"?

I don't want people thinking it's as good as HODL Butter.
