I was able to fully recover 1M sats from sats I tried tipping and gifting via Lightsats to people but none of them were withdrawn into custody!

All of these are a combination of tips I left at a few restaurants, sats I tried gifting to family members, and some friends who claimed them but unfortunately did not withdraw before the set expiry date.

Even though the goal is for everyone to download their own wallet and take full custody of their sats, I know we will not have a 100% success rate.

At least I know these satoshis did part of their job, for some users it was their first exposure to bitcoin so as long as it can stay top of mind and maybe someday they'll remember "Someone gifted me bitcoin" and be more open to it!
