Today I opened Zeus (ios) and my embedded wallet disappeared... I enabled wallet recovery from backup.

Don't install this update if you want to keep your channels open 🤷‍♂️

can't reproduce. must be something specific with your device. For me is working perfectly fine on 3 different devices.
Give more details, I am sure something is missing and you are not telling us.

I simply updated a number of iOS apps, including Zeus. I turned on my wallet and had Zeus embedded LND set as the default, but another node (start9) turned on.
I thought to myself, what's going on?

I opened the list of nodes and Zeus embedded wasn't even there...

I quickly recreated Zeus embedded and proceeded with the recovery procedure.

All channels were closed correctly and the money returned to the onchain account.

Sorry to hear that. Do you know what version of ZEUS were on previously?

If you get in contact with ZEUS support, they'll be sure to replace whatever channels you had with the LSP.

Everything is fine, I have already opened a new channel. It's good that the backup function works properly and I was able to recover my satoshi without any problems.
I still think that the built-in Zeus node is the best solution for LN payments, but you have to be careful not to overdo the amount of satoshi you send to this node...

I can see you put a lot of work into preparing the website, I took advantage of it.

You remind me of another person who also had a strong conviction that they were right, unfortunately that person chose BCH ("real bitcoin") and I couldn't convince him that it was rubbish... 😅🤷‍♂️

Generally speaking, I don't plan on buying an iPhone anymore... But I also don't plan on buying another phone when this one works...😅
