Trouble is USA cant build nuclear at a reasonable cost.
The entire industrial base has been gutted by decades of amoral neoliberal selling out to China. USA can't build anything much anymore in a cost competitive manner.

Electricity is the fuel of the post industrial era and China leads by a fucking Huge margin.

USA has lost the trade war and the energy war.
USA clings to dirty old tech oil and gas because it cannot compete on solar, wind, hydro and nuclear.
