Don't know what the high school style across the pond is, but over here the male specimens seem to have converged to a single dominant style. I call it the Black Wadded Gang.
The style consists of a single signature piece: the black wadded coat. Usually North Face but there are other brand options. The coat is paired with blue denim and sneakers (Nike). The haircut is a 90s style middle part. Switching out the wadded coat with a flight jacket would make 'em all ready for a proper house party.
These young male individuals tend to clump together in groups, smoking ciggies, drinking red bulls, and showing off their fat bikes. You're really top dog here if you can do a wheelie.

It was odd for me to see during a visit late last year that the majority including pensioners are wearing synthetic jackets in NL now. Amsterdam had a bit of a "2018 Toronto" vibe to it.
