not enough businesses accept LN so there isnt much demand to use it. Ask someone in El Salvador and youll get a completely different answer compared to someone who lives in china. overall LN is just starting.

As Bitcoin adoption grows and transaction fees rise we will see a rise in lighting usage. that's my thought. Lightning is still growing and I think it is good that we aren't seeing massive adoption. The tech is still new and the tools are getting better each week it seems like. Still a long way to go though. It is happening gradually and then it will suddenly exponentially.

There's some money to be made, but with the as-is operational costs, it's far from a sure thing that you'll make money.
