A grizzly bear film that stands tall next to Wernor Hertzog's, Project Grizzly documents the saga of a man with unusual knife-throwing abilities, an unparalleled constitution, and a great story from the Canadian wilderness.

Peter Lynch's documentary on the late Troy Hurtubise (1963-2018), inventor, entrepreneur, father and Canadian outdoors-man is concocted with a satiating balance of zaniness, curiosity, and wonderment. It tells a story of grit, inventiveness, and passion for animal wildlife that you really have to see to believe.

You will watch a man throw himself down the Niagara escarpment, allow himself to get clobbered by a 30-tonne truck going thirty KMs per hour, walk through fire, and get shot at, all to prove the effectiveness of his life's work: a suit built to withstand a grizzly attack.

And that's really no joke: he spent more than seven years and over 100k Moose Sheckles on its research and development.

But the real treat in this film are Hurtubise's Canadianisms in storytelling that puts Ricky from Trailer Park Boys to shame.

Don't sleep on this film any more.

I've seen clips of this guy in his armor suit. I never knew there was a whole documentary made about him! Definitely going to watch this!
