Without giving too much away, I was kind of contemplating life as I was getting ready to sleep the other night

A good friend of mine had a fall while in another country and after all the to'ing and fro'ing between doctors and insurance people, in the end they paid privately to have the operation that was needed.A good friend of mine had a fall while in another country and after all the to'ing and fro'ing between doctors and insurance people, in the end they paid privately to have the operation that was needed.

It cost them thousands but otherwise, they'd be stuck there for potentially a long time

And then another friend, who is the successful one in our group, got the lambos, the houses, the holidays, the whole deal, he works like a machine 24/7, they got rushed to hospital by ambulance, suspected stroke or heart attack, just waiting on tests to find out what's been happening

It wakes you up, to the fact that life is very fragile, sometimes we are just a few steps away from a life changing eventIt wakes you up, to the fact that life is very fragile, sometimes we are just a few steps away from a life changing event

And in my life, I've been reflecting on how things are turning out, could I have done this or that, we can all get caught up in the day to day hustle and bustle of life, is that errand or that task really that important?

So i found myself, for really the first time praying to God, I'm not and I've never been a religious person and I really don't believe in centralised religions, but I believe there must be an all powerful thing that created this experienceSo i found myself, for really the first time praying to God, I'm not and I've never been a religious person and I really don't believe in centralised religions, but I believe there must be an all powerful thing that created this experience

I felt quite assured as I was talking and obviously there are people that say faith is a coping mechanism because we're all lost spinning on the rock in the middle of nowhere, but I asked for a sign

I wasn't expecting to see the light or a burning bush, so I drifted off to sleep and awoke the next morning to a text from another old friend, they sent me a poem and said they felt the need to send it to meI wasn't expecting to see the light or a burning bush, so I drifted off to sleep and awoke the next morning to a text from another old friend, they sent me a poem and said they felt the need to send it to me

Instructions before visiting earthInstructions before visiting earth

by James McCrae

In the event that you wake up
and find your soul separated from source
and manifest into material form,
don’t panic.

Your condition is only temporary.

You have been selected for the opportunity
of human incarnation.

This 3D simulation is designed
to break up the monotony of eternity
by giving you a fully immersive experience
as a distinct ego identity.

As you walk among the people on the planet, try to be a good guest.

Tread lightly.

Remember that you are only visiting.

Don’t make a mess.

Listen more than you speak.

Give more than you take.

Don’t keep your soft heart locked inside
a glass cage, protected from wear and tear.

You’ll never make it out alive
and time passes quickly.

So come back with some battle scars
and good stories to tell.

On this planet, nothing is permanent.

People and things will come and go.

You will fall in love and form sentimental attachments only to lose everything you hold dear.

So cling to nothing too tightly,
even yourself, and when it’s time to let go, let go with grace, for nothing is owned,
only borrowed.

Whether I'm coping or not is another story but I certainly feel more at ease 🙏Whether I'm coping or not is another story but I certainly feel more at ease 🙏

Hey @Taj, thank you for sharing this here. I sincerely enjoyed reading about your experience. I am a Christian but only recently within the last couple years have I become more devout in my faith. I've had a few wild life experiences that brought me where I am today, as I'm sure is the case with you and everyone else haha.

The poem you shared was really interesting to read. I will share with you a short story that I also think you will like. It really moved me when I read it, because I believe the message given in the story is similar to that which was given by Jesus Christ when he was here on Earth. I'd love to hear your take on it. It's called, "The Egg." Here is its primary source, https://www.galactanet.com/oneoff/theegg_mod.html , but there are also millions who have been inspired by this story, and some have created little videos to go along with it like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6fcK_fRYaI

Enjoy
