The most pleasure from coffee cup give me milk and sugar. Don't like taste of coffee at all. I'm on tea side.

Anybody's here is this saloon who likes coffee?

Life begins when you stop adding sugar to coffee... helps re-aligns your taste buds to savory instead of sweet so you start tasting food for the first time.

I may add - "life beging when you get rid of sugar from your life"

reply

It took me a while to acquire a taste for coffee but I like it more than tea now.

reply

Do you drink just espresso?

reply

No, but I don’t mind that.

I put a little maple syrup, honey, sea salt, and coconut oil in my coffee. Sometimes cacao too.

Wow, what a cocktail. Never thought about to drink a coffee this way. In my childhood a coffee was unacceptable, later there were two options: with or without milk.

All of modern names, e.g. espresso, americano, latte, I learned when I got older.

btw, how would you name your maple-honey-solt-coffee cocktail?

reply

I’d call it HODL coffee because it was inspired by @oshigood’s HODL Butter.

I've tried with pepper and cinnamon.

I'll have to try your recipe, too.

reply

I have also done that. My maple syrup is actually cinnamon infused so I’m not missing out on that.

reply

I used to make my own simple syrup with equal parts sugar, water, and then a hint of vanilla.

reply

All of these in coffee?

reply

Well... yea?

You can make a heavy syrup with 2 parts sugar to 1 part water if you don't want to water down your coffee. I stopped doing this when I realized it was only to cover up the taste of shitty coffee.

reply

What the purpose to drink bad coffee?

reply

my thoughts exactly!

So I tried different kinds until I found one I didn't need to sweeten.

What about tea, I like the taste of Da hong pao.
For everyday drink I buy regular long leaf black tea called Azercay

As a coffee man, what the coffee do you recommend to get maxi pleasure?

I'll have to give Azercay a try, thanks for the recommendation.

As for coffee, the only recommendation I can make is whole bean. Grind it yourself but not too fine. Whether it's Columbian, Guatemalan, Peruvian... I can't really tell the difference. I think the roast is more important. French roast is just fine with me. But you might like a light roast.

reply

As I said I don't like taste of coffee. I could drink it for effect but taste. The same as vodka, I drank it for effect, but not because I liked its bitter notes.

Anyway that's for recommendations how to choytye best one.
