Lol I do get a kick out of seeing this headline as it was just days ago Apple announced its deal with Google to use Gemini for its products. Now Google is just taking Apple's money while also launching an effort to go directly into their space.
The new feature will compete with Apple Intelligence, Apple’s personal AI system that integrates apps to help with writing, image creation, and understanding context. Apple said Monday it chose Google to power its AI features, including a major Siri upgrade expected later this year.

Both men served as head of operations under "star" CEOs....and due to their operational skills + penny pinching both led their companies to periods of crazy profitability.
However, both had zero vision for their companies and when the product pipeline ran out, their companies severely faltered.

The problem they'll run into is that Apple still gates their ecosystem. Try using Google Books on an iPad, and see whats up.
