I currently run and use my own Bitcoin and Lightning node, and I feel like I understand the incentives behind doing so well enough that I believe that the Bitcoin system is self sustaining.
I can't say the same for Nostr at this point though. I don't know nearly as much about it as Bitcoin but I feel like the incentives for keeping the network alive aren't as strong.
I would love to run my own Nostr relay, but I don't want to deal with the possible consequences of relaying / storing illegal content.
What are your takes on this?

I had my own Nostr relay setup with https://relay.tools/ (because it is super easy to use)
made the entry fee at 1 sat to get rid of spam
got like 3 or 4 subscribers
then once my setup was done, and done experimenting (learning about having a relay)
I set the relay for free, did get much more people
then I ended the experiment after 3 or 4 months
will add to my favorite
I was looking for a tool like this, I’ll take a look and setup my own.
