UK (NATO) has nuclear bases in Scotland and the independence party of Scotland opposes nuclear weapons on its soil.

It’s in Iran’s interest to undermine UK (and therefore Israel).

My guess is that it's not that Iran cares specifically, but they have either a well-run or a state-sanctioned group that does disinfo, and they' being paid by someone with an interest in Ireland.
