Not a great time for freedom for those living under this oppressive regime.

I can sympathize with frustration for the Republic, but I find the cheering on of violence in any form worrying.

I'm hoping for the best for Iranians.

From Bitcoin News on NOSTR

🇮🇷 IRAN: Bank Melli, the country’s largest state-owned bank, has reportedly suspended all cash withdrawals after a bank run amid ongoing anti-regime protests.
ATMs and card payment systems are reportedly down, signaling growing financial instability and a deepening crisis as protestors storm the streets.
some territories are moderated

Another regime change financed by cia? The last time america supportet a blood thirsty dictator in iran. Who will they support now?
Terrorists like in syria?
Fascist like in ukraine?
(Please insert next regime)
It was never for freedom or democracy, only self interest and it was paid by the american taxpayers money.
Funfact: america is expanding power but its own people getting poorer and poorer. How is this possible. You really think you get more at the end?
Chek out venezuela and the lies about it. Trump selling it as a win but it is a loss. Actually venezuela can not even produce 2% of the oil that trump says will be sold for dollar. And america has lost its face forever. Now everybody has to accept that it is a lawless, terrorist state now.

Who will they support now?

Probably a monarch.

Interesting idea. A monarch may be trumps favorite because trump himself think he is also a king.
But this guy has no idea about iran because he left it decades ago.

The government "tired" the carrot #1404621 but know has gotten the stick out.

I think I am going to work this into my monthly prepping scenarios:

"Your Bank has now suspended service, can you get by?"

reply

my understanding of the situation is the protest is much deeper than just economic frustration. there has been ongoing cultural conflict since '79.

but even if were only economic, i would understand.

saving in bitcoin would be a non-violent means of protest. i hope some people there are realizing this.

Are these scenarios something you share online?

Are these scenarios something you share online?

I have not let but I am open to doing it.

Maybe I will start doing a "This is Only a Test" post on Stacker News, to encourage Stackers to test their preparedness.

If youre feeling imaginative, might I suggest a fictional scenario in ~the_stacker_muse ?
could be effective haha ...
