AnnouncementsAnnouncements
Welcome to the newsletter. It was a week of change. Crossposting has really shaken up territories, and in my opinion the results are overwhelmingly positive. There is a lot more activity, so forgive me if a few things slip through the cracks, and be sure to point out anything I overlook. I apologize to @efrat for my gender slipup. We are very fortunate to have her here on SN, which makes my screw up even worse. Once again, @RadentorForNoxus gave us an Ecosystem Map update, which I find invaluable. If you don’t check it each week, you should. The news is right at the top.
Thanks to everyone who contributed, and have a good week. Happy New Year!

Posts will be judged using SN zaprank. The cut off time is 9:00am EST (1300GMT) Friday morning. I will post the top 5 winners shortly after 9:00am every Friday morning.
I reserve the right to not award any sats for the week. I also reserve the right to deny sat awards to bare link posts. I recognize that link posts can be valuable, so I will only only exercise discretion for low quality links that garner few sats or engagement from stackers.

Here you will find a few of the top posts to this territory. I am not going to adhere to a rigid zaprank system, since my purpose is to highlight content that has educational value. I will use an informal combination of zaprank and my own evaluation. For instance, some posts, though of high quality, are solely about Stacker News, and might have more appropriately originated as a meta post.
17 years ago today, the first-ever tweet mentioning Bitcoin was posted by Hal Finney.
Really grateful for this 🙏
Didn’t expect to saw two of my posts up there — and honestly pretty humbling to see “Letter to Stacker News” at the very top.
Big thanks to everyone who read, zapped, commented, and consider taking a look at the Study Hubs project. This Territory means much more to me. Thank you @siggy47.
Appreciate the SN community and the team for building and maintaining this space. Feeling encouraged to keep writing and building 🚀
