TURTLE now has a global leaderboard!
This is still about 80% vibe coded - backend time though! Having only written the backend for a few other programs, and one of them was basically cut and paste, I'm not sure this was any easier... Anyway, I'm hoping that TURTLE can become a template of sorts for other knuckle-draggers like myself to make online things that are paid for in lightning.
Anyway, don't get TOO attached to your ranking. I'm thinking about replacing this with npubs at some point and allowing people to zap folks on the leaderboard. Not sure when or if I'm going to do this, but here's your fair warning.
Now, here's the fun or aggravating part depending on your perspective. I didn't include a password. Sooooo, you can go in and mess up other people's stats. Buuuut, you only get one free game a day (per browser I suppose), so it costs you to be slanderous. But it's also kind of interesting if you want to be on, for example, team Dave. You could approach the whole leaderboard from the perspective of just getting the global Dave score up.
Also, I'm slinging out 1000 sats for any false word you get in any of the non-English languages. It has to truly not be a real word in that language, but I'm happy to give out as many as you can find.

Yeah, it’s obscure enough though that I’m not sure how fun it is to include. I’m trying to balance including words a little more difficult than wordle, but not unfun levels.
There are many 1000s of words in the English list right now, so the replayability is pretty high for folks that dig this kind of game.
