I spent years ignoring Bitcoin.

Coming from a background in data analytics in a corporate setting, I was deeply entrenched in a traditional finance mindset. That kept me from understanding Bitcoin's value proposition. I repeatedly judged Bitcoin based on traditional finance rules that didn't apply.

To me, it looked like the basketball cards of my youth: a collectible with no earnings, no dividends, and no business model. I thought staying away was being financially responsible. I thought I was being rational.

Looking back, I was anything but rational.

When I finally looked past the volatility and studied the fundamentals, my perspective shifted. I stopped seeing a gamble and started seeing a solution to structural economic problems. I realized Bitcoin's potential to resist inflation, encourage long-term saving, and democratize access to wealth.

I started The Rational Bit to explain Bitcoin with the clarity and simplicity I wish I’d had years ago.
