Haha pretty funny.

I actually think Sam will play pretty well tonight. I think they will have the same strategy as the Rams game and try to run, short pass, control the clock and only put the game in Sam's hands if they are down late. I have to think MacDonald is confident enough his D will be able to stop the Niners offense enough to give his offense a chance to put up points against a shaky niners D.

What happens when an unstoppable offense meet and immovable defense?

Sam Darnold runs the ball

Sam will have some opportunities to run if he wants to. He ran for a couple first downs in the week 1 matchup. He isn't a burner but he is athletic enough to run the ball. If he ran more when pressured he would probably make fewer bad decisions.

What's so interesting about this matchup is the teams know each other so well. The Seahawks essentially run a simpler version of Shanahan's scheme and the 49ers run a similar defensive scheme to what Pete Carroll had all those years as Seahawks coach.

Trent Williams is likely not playing. I expect Kittle to play but will he be 100%? We will see how it goes. Can the 49ers establish the run without Trent and will Kittle be as useful in the pass game if he has to help block because there is no Trent. On the flipside can the Seahawks run the ball well enough to not put Darnold in 3rd and long situations where he might make critical errors.
