I tested whitenoise with @ek the other day. It does work, but discovery / npub adds are a bit quirky. And there are some vibe code smells in the repo. But overall like it better than 0xchat

There is source code for linux and macos, but there are no release binaries other than apks.

flutter is defunct at the moment for me so I didn't have any luck to test a compile right now, will try later. I expect it to work-ish.
