node speedsnode speeds

A list containing the HTLC processing speed of various nodes as measured by my node.

  • Low values are better.
  • The values represent a 3 day rolling average.
  • processing times of more than 10s might indicate a problem with that node.

fee positionfee position

A list containing the estimated relative fee in PPM of various nodes in comparison to my node.

  • High confidence means that the ppm is more likely to be in the correct area.
  • Low confidence means that there is a high chance the ppm is completely wrong.

inbound fees overviewinbound fees overview

Nodes that have the TLV stream 55555 set on at least one of their channels.

  • TLV stream 55555 aka inbound Fees is only supported by LND 18 or newer

Wow, looking into my node in relation with the rest, nice numbers for a tor shitty node, a LOOT of info there.

reply

Your node is not a shitty node, and thanks for opening up a channel with us 🙏

These charts should not be made public.
I understand that maybe the guy wants to share them as a study material, but in general, a public node runner should NOT reveal too much about his node management policies, tactics etc. LN became a very challenging competition between capital allocators that will seek to obtain profits from other "weaknesses" in managing a LN node.

From now on, every potential peer is your direct competitor...

stupid people opening channels with a scam...

We are lucky, a p2p network change so this picture is not the whole film, second order chaos, but valid for a couple of months, all depends in the actors.

the issue is that this Nokthar is maintaining and publicly sharing this spreadsheet on a regular basis. I shared it here as I thought there was some useful info and is indeed a good templates maybe others can use for other nodes.

I agree the data will become obsolete, more probably in a couple of weeks, if not days. I see it hard for a network like LN to maintain a state for longer periods.

reply

Do not underestimate the data grabbers...
Yes indeed, is a good share, good info.
If I were him, I would not share such data, or at least not revealing names and such, just general data.
If I would be a peer I would not like to be seen my data in a public sheet.
People should be careful what they share out there... later they will scream that do not have privacy on internet LOL

@DarthCoin You've ridiculed us so much that now you owe us a big fat wumbo channel. When can we expect one from you?

Happy new year! May the force be with you and your node shows up in the top 10.

reply

Wow - #12.

How can we get to top 10? Thanks for assimilating and sharing the information. Love and respect for all the LN node runners.

A big thanks to all the node operators who've opened channel with us, without your support, we'd be nothing 🙏
