The way to mass adoption is for a circular economy to form. A circular economy will form when we earn in bitcoin. This is because when you earn in bitcoin you will then prefer to spend in bitcoin (versus cashing out into fiat and then spend in fiat). And thus when you spend in bitcoin that means that the vendor / provider is then earning in bitcoin. So that can lead to a circular economy that is self-sustaining.
For various reasons, there is statistically about 0% of the population who today earn any significant amount of their income in bitcoin.
There is simply very little discussion as to what would need to occur such that tens of thousands of people (nonetheless millions of people) will begin to earn in bitcoin.
My thinking is that this will require investment that is targeted for endeavors that drive up the number of people who earn in bitcoin. StakWork, for instance, already has a platform that makes it so workers around the world can earn in bitcoin. But it is my (possibly incorrect) understanding that there simply aren't that many organizations employing StakWork. So maybe what is needed is for investment in (or incentives paid to) these organizations that could benefit from hiring StakWork. Or there could be discovered other opportunities where rapid growth in the number of people who earn in bitcoin might occur.
There are many examples of this occurring today, but they are mostly shitcoin-related. For instance, might the Helium mesh (which started out as IoT mesh, and is now 5G mesh) succeed if the node operators (investors) were paid in bitcoin?
There just isn't currently all that much thinking about potentially viable businesses that exist to put bitcoin into people's hands (by giving them a way to earn). Whomever does is providing value to the community

I see a coming need for paid topic or community based nostr relays, as well as relays designed and moderated for use by children. Then again I'm almost never right.
