I want to say I'd help out my clone, because I really need like three clones to get what I want done, but I think the point is to get at what else you'd work on.

  1. I'd probably start another project of some kind.
    • One thing I'd like to figure out how to get people self-hosting bitcoin ecommerce sites colocated with their nodes. Most of what we found looking for this were intense plugin monstrosities.
    • There's also an idea for a toy chat app I've wanted to build.
    • Based on our recent WYSIWYG experiences, maybe I could build a great open source Canvas-based WYSIWYG.
    • Or I'd start searching for some productive use for AI that no one was bothering to do yet
  2. If I'm not starting another software project, I'd probably spend most my time doing art of some kind. Then pair that with contributing to base layer Bitcoin stuff in some fashion.
    • This is how I've imagined myself retiring

YES to the open source Canvas!

I find Canvas very useful, but holy crap, even if you subscribe, they still harass you all the time - "for only XX, you could have the premium pack" and stuff like that, blocking your main work screen all the time.

I was thinking about trying to learn Gimp, but it's a little daunting, considering how rarely I use image software.

Beat way to learn gimp is to use it. Give yourself a goal (like making a certain kind of meme every week), then watch tutorials on how to so it. You'll be able to use gimp in no time!

I think you mean Canva? I've heard mixed things and my experience using it mirrors yours. @Scoresby is a Gimp pro. He might have some tips on getting started.

I meant Canvas API which is not entirely unrelated actually.

Oh, ha ha, I did mean Canva. Funny cause I've used both, but Canva much more recently.
