Well this one isn't on the publicly available sanctioned list however, given how easy it is to rename ships to try and skirt sanctions it will be interesting to see if this is the case. If any/all oil tankers are now targets though of the Admin that is going to bleed Venezuela dry a heck of a lot faster than initially thought. According to PDCSA's internal docs though it did have a key issue that allowed it to be bordered...
Centuries, which loaded in Venezuela under the false name "Crag" and is part of the dark fleet, was carrying some 1.8 million barrels of Venezuelan Merey crude oil bound for China, according to internal documents from state oil company PDVSA, the oil's seller.
Countries have a right to board ships if there is reasonable ground to suggest it is not legitimately registered to fly the state whose flag it is flying and since it wasnt going by the correct name.... well that gave the US the ability to legally board it.
I wounder if Maduro finds someone to take him and he steps down and flees the country before things get to dicey.
Arrrrr! Thar be oil in them thar waters! Yarrr!
Haha
Lol I mean in theory they did Nationalize and take oil from US companies who developed the oil fields for them. Chavez especially nuked the country when he nationalized newer projects and used PDVSA as a piggy bank to fund his programs not letting the company to reinvest thus brining their fields and stations into the utter disrepair they are in today.
Ehhhh when your companies spend $5 billion to build your industry and then in the 90s do so again only to get the fields and production seized again there is a reason why Venezuela is the way it is now
