I was afraid I would have to take sides. There are unscrupulous breeders who abuse these birds. They should be the targets, rather than institute a ban that harms small businesses. Akin to​ justifying KYC to "combat terrorism and money laundering.

The problem is the demand. People are not educated anymore with morals but they are brainwashed by influencers on tiktok... If there's no demand, then the offer also will lower. Regulations are not the fix.

Birds in cages are a sadness thing. Ever I see this I think “why ppl still capture birds to put them in cages?”

On one hand it is probably better for the birds but on the flipside birds become less accessible as pets and pet stores have fewer live animals they are permitted to sell. It would be nice if stores and breeders offered more transparency into where the animals are coming from.
