Last startup I worked for literally sold itself to a bigger company on the basis of being "AI enabled" and failed to deliver. Parent company probably regretting the purchase.

Last time I was hired to assess a vendor that claimed they were "AI enabled" it turned out that this meant that they just had a CTO and Replit.
I mean... it was true, the only thing that enabled them was an LLM. ~lol

I don't think most people get how much smoke and mirrors are in tech. They used to call it vaporware
